Dajue's biodegradable straws are an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic straws, combining sustainability and versatility.
● In addition to the three biodegradable materials of PLA, PBS and natural bamboo, our straws can also be made of traditional PE plastic, which depends entirely on the needs of your business. If you are not sure what material you need, you can refer to the three types of straws we have defined:
1. Normal temperature type: suitable for beverages below 50°C, perfect for juices, smoothies and other cold drinks.
2. High temperature type: suitable for beverages between 40°C and 100°C, perfect for hot drinks such as coffee and tea.
3. Sturdy type: suitable for all hot and cold drinks, providing flexibility for any beverage service.
● Our straws can range from 5.9 inches to 9.8 inches in length and 0.2 inches to 0.5 inches in diameter, and the size can be customized within this range.
● We provide convenient packaging options: can be packaged individually or in bulk in packs of 50.

What are the differences between PLA, PBS(Biodegradable Plastic Straws) and natural bamboo straws?
1. Biodegradability:
PLA (Polylactic Acid):PLA is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. However, its biodegradation occurs primarily under industrial composting conditions (high temperature and humidity), which are not readily available everywhere.
PBS (Polybutylene Succinate):PBS is a biodegradable polymer often derived from fossil fuels or renewable sources like sugar. It biodegrades more readily than PLA, even in home composting or natural environments (soil or water).
Natural Bamboo:Bamboo is a naturally biodegradable material, breaking down quickly in the environment, especially when untreated. It returning to the soil as organic matter with minimal ecological impact.
2. Cost:
PLA:PLA is relatively cost-effective compared to other biodegradable plastics. However, its price is still higher than conventional plastics due to the processing involved in extracting lactic acid from plants.
PBS:PBS tends to be more expensive than PLA due to more complex manufacturing processes and, in some cases, reliance on petroleum-based components.
Natural Bamboo:The cost depending on the region and how it is processed, but it is generally more expensive than normal plastic alternatives and often less costly than specialized bioplastics like PBS. Bamboo requires minimal processing compared to plastics but must be harvested and shaped, which adds to the price.
3. Functionality (as Straws):
PLA:PLA straws perform well in terms of stiffness and usability, closely resembling conventional plastic straws. However, they can soften and deform if used with hot beverages since PLA starts to melt at lower temperatures (~60°C). They are durable in cold liquids but can still have a "plastic-like" texture.
PBS:PBS straws offer better thermal stability compared to PLA and can handle both cold and hot beverages more effectively. Their flexibility and durability make them a practical option for a wider range of uses. In terms of user experience, they feel smoother and can have a slight "plastic-like" texture similar to PLA.
Natural Bamboo:Bamboo straws are sturdy, durable, and natural, offering a unique and eco-friendly experience. They are great for both cold and hot beverages, as bamboo naturally resists heat. Bamboo also has a natural texture, which may feel rough compared to synthetic straws, but many users appreciate the natural look and feel.
